The Waeve have shared a new single, City Lights.

Produced by James Ford, the track serves as the first preview of Graham Coxon and Rose Elinor Dougal's soon-to-be-announced second album, the follow-up to their 2023 self-titled debut.

The Bowie-esque track finds the Blur guitarist and The Pipettes co-founder harmonising over a spiralling instrumental doused in guitar licks and spacey synths that culminates with a saxophone solo. Introducing the song, the duo said:

"The city lights bestow a unique magic on everyone - the beautiful and the grotesque, the angels and the devils - shining and seductive, one and all… Who wants to love you and who wants to destroy you?"

The Waeve will play London's Hoxton Hall tomorrow (May 3) before a run of dates supporting Elbow, which begins in Brighton next Tuesday (May 7). They also have a number of festival appearances in the diary for the summer, including slots at Isle Of Wight and Green Man.

The Waeve Upcoming Tour Dates are as follows

Fri May 03 2024 - LONDON Hoxton Hall
