Nathaniel Rateliff And The Night Sweats Announce New LP 'South Of Here' With First Single Heartless

Nathaniel Rateliff and The Night Sweats have announced a new studio album.
'South Of Here' will arrive through Stax Records on June 28, following up the Missouri-born singer-songwriter's 2020 solo record 'And It’s Still Alright', and his 2021 LP with The Night Sweats, 'The Future'.
Produced by Brad Cook and recorded at Sonic Ranch, outside El Paso, Texas, the new project is previewed by the first single, Heartless, a rock-soul ballad, streaming below. Commenting on how the record took shape, Rateliff said:
"Brad was a great producer to write alongside. This album is a look into my own struggle with anxiety, insecurity and also stories of my life. He encouraged me to take responsibility for my own narrative in the songs and to write about what’s happening in my own life.
"These recordings were done together in a room with my closest friends. I hope these songs and stories give you an opportunity to better understand your own struggles, whatever they may be."
In February, Nathaniel Rateliff and The Night Sweats announced the UK and European leg of the South Of Here Tour, which is scheduled to take place in June and July.
In September, they'll team up with My Morning Jacket for the co-headline Eye To Eye Tour in North America. Tickets are on sale now.
